Graphic design for a major exhibition showcasing Trinidad & Tobago’s past through photography.

Trinidad & Tobago turned 50 in 2012; in anticipation of this event, one of the country’s most prolific photographers, Abigail Hadeed, decided to put together Record : Art : Memory – An Exhibition of Photography in Trinidad & Tobago. To raise funding, Abigail and I worked to create a visual proposal and, along with the cost of mounting the exhibition, we also calculated the cost of an 88-page publication, printed invites, and limited-edition postcard sets. With funding in place, Abigail and the rest of the curatorial team gave a framework around which the works were organised, which then helped me to shape the organisation and selection of works for the printed materials. The end result is a fascinating archive of Trinidad & Tobago’s development over the years, spanning the late 1800s to the present.
